It’s been a bit quiet from me here lately — for a good reason.
I’ve been deep in the next round of work on my book about personal energy management.
A few weeks ago, I received the development edits from my editor. They were substantial to say the least. The kind of feedback that makes you rethink entire chapters and rebuild ideas from the ground up. It required focus, time, and plenty of space to think (and write).
What kept me going wasn’t discipline or heroic commitment. It was something much simpler: my genuine enjoyment of research.
As a former scientist, I love understanding why certain practices work. I’ve been re‑reading studies, revisiting books that shaped my thinking, and feeling grateful for the authors and researchers whose work laid the foundation for so much of what we know today.
My office floor currently looks like a small library exploded. Every book here has shaped a piece of the manuscript.
Yesterday, I sent the next version back to my editor.
Another step forward.
Stay tuned — more insights from my writing journey are on the way.
